DESCENT presents Randomer. North London's Rohan Walder has spent fifteen years threading the needle between UK bass tradition and the harder edges of contemporary techno, releasing on Hemlock, Hessle Audio, L.I.E.S., and Dekmantel UFO before returning in 2024 with Everything Happens For No Reason on Mama Told Ya. His 2025 EP Falling Apart on Headstrong pushed the tempo into hard techno territory, and this summer's Igneous Edits with Perc — a ten-year reunion on Perc Trax — proved the polyrhythmic weight and dub sensibility that have defined his catalog only sharpen with age, a sound built for our Funktion-One room.
